Taking advantage of the nice weather

The kids really like this park and it's just right across the street from our house. Anytime it's not raining this park is full.

Fun at the park

Billy wants to say that he is not really this fat....the wind caught his shirt! He just wanted me to make that clear. :)

This one goes out to Brooke...

We were enjoying a beautiful day at the park yesterday when this kid jumped on the teeter totter with Koye. Brooke, look what you started!

Madisen's first pet....

Madisen played a game where you had to throw a ping pong ball in a glass of water, and what do you get if you win..............a goldfish! She was SO EXCITED to win this fish. We took HER home right away and put her in a glass jar and named her Sarah. Well, Sarah lived only a day and then she got to take a ride on the porcelain express (or the toilet).

Wild Hair

I had to fight Koye when we got home to wash the blue out of his hair. He thought it would be cool to have blue hair in nursery on Sunday.

Wild Hair

We went to a Fair at the elementary school on Friday. The kids had so much fun. They did a booth where they colored hair so Madisen and Koye got some highlights done!

Krazy Koye

I just bought these Batman pj's for Koye so he pretty much wears the shirt everyday. The bottoms are a little too big so he has on Thomas the Train pants and of course the froggie boots.

Look familiar mom and dad Farris???

This has become Madisen's favorite place to climb. I was told that when Billy was a kid he was a climber and they found him on top of the fridge except I think he was quite younger than these two.

Spring.....Oregon style

I know this looks like snow but it's hail........We had a storm blow through the last couple of days and it's been pretty chilly. Yesterday we had rain, sleet, a little snow and then at the end we had hail. The kids thought it was snow so they wanted to go outside and play in it. It hailed so much that you could make snowballs them. The kids liked to throw them at me.

This is our back yard and a view from our deck. It's so pretty and green here. Still waiting for the weather to get where it's warm everyday instead of here and there so we can enjoy it more. Supposedly that's supposed to happen soon! I had to take a picture of the "popcorn" tree, I think this tree is so pretty in our front yard.

Home Sweet Home

Here is our house. I thought you might like to see where we live. It's a really nice neighborhood with friendly people.

Yummy.....Elephant Ears

This was dessert after playing so hard, it was an Elephant Ear. It was a pastry covered in butter, cinnamon and sugar. Crew just dug in and helped himself. Madisen and Koye loved it also. They were an absolute sticky mess but it was a fun night.

Safari Sams

We took the kids to a place called Safari Sam's last night. It's like a glorified Chuck E Cheese. They have this huge jungle gym inside along with glow in the dark miniature golf, food and arcade games. Brent you would be excited to know they have Deal or No Deal. :) Crew didn't know what to think about going down the slide, Madisen loved the place, it was three levels of climbing with all sorts of things to do along the way.

Is this rain jacket chocolate proof?

I left the kids alone for about 20 minutes and I come out to find this.....Crew had found some chocolate and ate it, got it all over our end table and himself. I know you can't tell because it's camo but it was all over this jacket, which by the way I just bought that day and he liked wearing it and didn't want to take it off. Yeah for rain coats and chocolate!

Happy Birthday Mad Dog

Yes, I realize that this blog is out of order timeline wise, I know, I'm retarted. Give me a break I'm still trying to figure out this whole blogging thing and how it works. ANYWAY Madisen's aunt Brooke made this cake for her birthday. She LOVED it, especially the crown. She loves her auntie Brookie and we are so glad that she is talented in this kind of thing because her mom isn't. Her uncle Brent and Brooke came down to help her celebrate her 5th birthday. We went to Chuck E Cheese and had so much fun! Thanks you two for coming down and spending some time with us, the kids loved it! And a big thanks to Brooke.....have you considered going into the cake making business??? :)

Chris is a Jungle Gym

Madisen and Koye love their uncles and this is usually where you will find them when they are around.....climbing all over them and wrestling with them.

Madi the baby hog

If anyone wanted to hold Braelyn you had to wrestle her from Madisen first. She loves this little girl and wants to have a little sister so bad. She would be a good big sister but I told her she might have to wait on that request!

Welcome Braelyn

I had to show off my little niece Braelyn. I'm so glad that I was able to be here to see her after she was born. I was supposed to already be in Oregon but the closer it got to her being born the more I wanted to be here to see her. She is so beautiful and I already miss her. Ship her up to me, will ya!? Congratulations Chris and Shelley.

Cheese!

This is the only picture we got with all three of them together. Madisen had to hold Crew because if you put him down it was instant crying.

I think I found Patrick Star?!

Koye probably thought this was the coolest thing of the day.....a starfish. And yes, that is him in his underwear in the most cold water I have ever stepped in. You were standing in it for 10 minutes and your feet would start to ache and turn numb from the cold. Right when he got there he wanted Billy to take his shirt off and then he said he wanted his pants off! He did cry when he fell in and went under but hopped right back up and kept playing. Even his daddy was too chicken to get in the water.

Sandy feet

Crew thought the sand on his feet was pretty cool but he wanted me to hold him most of the time. It could have had something to do with the water being very very cold!

What the heck is this stuff??

Crew wanted absolutly nothing to do with the sand. This is a kid who freaks out walking on grass. He did not enjoy himself as much as Madisen and Koye but I think he got the hang of it at the end.

Ocean....here we come!

We drove down to the coast today because it the weather was perfect. The kids were so excited to get to see the water. It was the coldest water I have ever been in but it was so pretty.

Is it raining yet????

We are in our car on our way to Mesa here. We flew out to Oregon the next day but Madisen being Madisen insisted on wearing the rain coat that I just bought her. You can't see it but she has the matching rain boots on, which I bought for $2 at Gap, and wore this all the way to Mesa. I guess you can never be too prepared for the rain, even in Arizona.

Koye just recently started liking hats so I bought him one and this is the cheesy face he always makes when you take a picture of him.

Finally back together

The kids and I finally made the long journey (ok so we actually flew) to Oregon on Monday. It's now Saturday and we are really liking being here. We miss our family and friends terribly but it's nice to have us all back together again. Billy feels like he has a family again and now he gets to be reminded of how crazy we all are and how some of those nights by himself weren't such a bad thing! It rained the first couple of days here, shocking I know, but the last couple of days were so beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky. I'm told that I came at the right time of the year because now the rain slows down. We went to the coast today and played at the beach. I'm going to try to post some pictures of that.

We don't have a current family picture to put up yet but hopefully soon. This is the kids Easter Sunday. I'm not sure what Koye is doing but he's rarely ever looking right at the camera.

Here goes nothing......

I'm going to attempt to start blogging. Everybody that I know has a blog page and I think it's a great idea! Now that we live in Oregon it will be a great way to keep in touch with everybody. I'm not sure that we will have a lot to write about or to say but we will try to keep lots of pictures on here for family and friends.
